Musiikin aika – Time of Music – dal 5 al 10 luglio

Ritorna a Viitassari Time of Music uno degli appuntamenti più stimolanti con la musica contemporanea di tutta l'estate. L'Ensemble Musikfabrik porterà per la prima volta in Finlandia l'ambizioso progetto Pitch 43_tuning the cosmos, con 50 strumenti microtonali ideati da Harry Partch (1901-1974), ricostruiti nel 2012 da Thomas Meixner, proprio per l'Ensemble Musikfabrik.

Nei due concerti di questo pregatto verranno eseguiti And on the Seventh Day Petals Fell in Petaluma dello stesso Partch, Korpus del danese Simon Steen-Andersen, Heritage di Sampo Haapamäki (pezzo scritto su commissione di Time of Music), Sow Your Gold In The White Foliated Earth della norvegese Helge Sten (Deathprod).

Nel programma anche lavori dello spagnolo Mauricio Sotelo, celebre per il suo linguaggio insieme sperimentale e influenzato dal flamenco e da diverse tradizioni vocali spagnole. E un concerto del soprano finlandese Tuuli Lindeberg (nella foto) che eseguirà lavori di Minna Leinonen, Riikka Talvitie, Laulu edustajasta e Toshio Hosokawa.
