Laajasalon opisto / Laajasalo Folk High School, which is located in a suburb of Helsinki, about 9 kilometers from the city center.
COURSE CONTENT
Finnish (50 lessons) taught by native Finnish teachers at three levels: - Elementary - Intermediate - Advanced
The levels of the groups are determined based on the skill of the course participants and our language course is different every year.
Please fill the registration form carefully because it will help our teachers to form the groups. You will be tested at the beginning of the course in order to be placed in a group of students roughly on the same level as you.
The language generally used in Finnish lessons is Finnish. This is a Finnish language course and it is essential to listen to as much Finnish as possible, even if you can't understand everything. Lectures and free time programme is in English.
FEE
The course fee covers
- 50 Finnish lessons
- meals (lunch, afternoon coffee/tea on weekdays).
- study book
- lectures and free time activities (Helsinki sightseeing and excursions to Ateneum Art Museum)
The fee with accommodation in a double room in the dormitory (including breakfast) is
- 995 € for the members of Finland Society
- 1080 € for non-member
The fee without accommodation is
- 710 € for the member of Finland Society
- 790 € for non-members
